Georgia is participating in the international maritime exercise Phoenix Express 2026, the US Embassy in Georgia announced on social media.
“Georgia is one of 8 partner nations chosen to participate in this prestigious exercise,” the Embassy wrote.
The Georgian Border Police reported that the exercise was held in Tunis, Republic of Tunisia, and lasted four days. During the training, personnel from the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police carried out their assigned tasks at the Training Management Center.
Phoenix Express is an international maritime security exercise aimed at strengthening cooperation, interoperability, and maritime safety among partner nations.
